The Youngsters’ RADelaide!

There’s a reason why Adelaide is called ‘Radelaide’! With burgeoning restaurant scenes, scintillating festivities, world-class wineries, excellent outdoor adventures and more, this glorious little capital city is youngsters’ favourite hangout purlieu in South Australia.

With a beach to walk to right in the middle of the city, an oval to kick a ball around, a sport match to bet on every now and then, trendy bars for Friday night parties, this city never bores youngsters. But there’s a lot more about experiencing and sightseeing in Adelaide that you need to try while you’re young enough to enjoy them!

Adelaide tours are never complete without winery visits. Go on an ultimate road trip down the palm-lined Seppeltsfield Road! This one-hour drive will show you 19 wineries and diverse boutique restaurants along the way, leading to the stunning Seppeltsfield Wines, which was founded in 1800s by the Seppelt family. Make sure you are accompanied by a non-drinking friend if you are planning to drive back or stay at any of the wonderful cottages around.

On a weekend, gather your group of friends, hire a beach house alongside the trendy locations of Robe, Normanville, Port Elliot, Goolwa, Middleton, Victor Harbor or Yankalilla. Enjoy sea breeze on your hair while sipping on a glass of wine, go surfing, play beach ball or set a campfire on the shores!

Craving for some nature time? Trek with your friends or climb solo to the top of The Bluff a.k.a, the Rosetta Head at Encounter Bay. Waiting for you at the summit are panoramic views of rugged coastline where the ocean crashes into the beautiful rugged cliffs and infinite stretches of sea with patches of small islands. If you take along some binoculars you may be able to spot a sea lion or fur seal over on Seal Rock. But what will catch your attention the most will be a rock stacks which looks akin to the Marree Man or perhaps Stonehenge!

If you’re in Adelaide for autumn, you cannot miss a visit to the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens for the world! It’s that time of the year when the maples, elms and oaks will wear the autumn coats, liquidambar trees change from green to red and many other trees transform into a panorama of scarlets, yellows and bronzes. And what better than walking along the trails carpeted with oak leaves against the perfect blue sky of an autumn day!

Adelaide is not a step behind in partying too. The city hosts the nation’s favourite and most iconic outdoor art and music festival, WOMADelaide! If you’re still planning on your Adelaide tour, fix the dates in time for this festival as it’s a rave-up not to be missed, huddling world's best contemporary and traditional musicians, dancers, DJs, street theatre and visual artists!

With all this and more, experiencing Adelaide when you’re young itself is worth a trip! So if you’re still looking for the perfect location for your ‘dream holiday in 20’s with your best mates’, this cosmopolitan capital with its country-town vibe is your perfect place to be!
